Welcome

Pelham is a Better Hometown Community and is home to the Wildlife Festival which is held on the first Saturday in October and attracts over 12,000 visitors annually. It is also home to the Pelham Jamboree held every Saturday night beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Other events such as a “Slice of Summer” and the Pelham Wildlife Art Auction complete the warm community and people make everyone feel welcomed.

Pelham Georgia is centrally located between Thomasville (23 miles) and Albany (37 miles.)  The city was named for Major John Pelham, who served with the confederate calvary during the American Civil War.  The cities of Pelham, Alabama and Pelham, Georgia are named in his honor.  In 2004, the state of Georgia designated the section of State Highway 300 that passes through Pelham as the John Pelham Memorial Parkway .
